I started working right out of high school, in a machine shop in Bakersfield, California in 1980. In 1984, I made my first knife after I watched one of the "Ol' Timers" that worked in the shop turn an old file into a knife. From that moment on, I was hooked. I made my first knife and fell in love with the wonderful 'hit and miss' hobby. It quickly became great for Birthday and Christmas gifts for my family and friends. Then back around 2005, I made my brother a knife as a Birthday gift, but just before I sent it off to Arizona, I took it to the shop to show it off a bit. Needless to say, they liked it and told me I should make and sell them here, (all over Michigan) at the local knife/gun shows on the occasional weekends. As the saying goes, "one thing led to another" and I've been blessed with the opportunity to make custom knives, full time now for over 10 years.
